Owls

These owls are made with a TeacupLion pattern. They are about 15 centimeters high. They are standard filled with merino wool sourced from sheep in Germany. My owls come with felt or plastic safety eyes.

The original pattern was written for stretchy fabrics (like minky). It’s quite easy to use minky for a pattern that is meant for woven fabric (like wrap scrap) but it’s harder to adapt the other way around. However I think I’ve found a good shape for the owl to appear as round and cute as they’re meant to be. The Okinami owl has the ‘definitive’ shape :).

Blodeuwedd was a gift from one "Oscha mom" to another <3 and I enjoyed making her.
She features Oscha Constellation Syzygy and a mix of Hanna Vanilla, Roses Vanilla (because I ran out of Hanna Vanilla) and Alto Bergamote for the orange beak.

She has plastic safety eyes and I did get around to adding the "eye lash" on the other side, but then forgot to take "finished" pictures so this is the only one I have.
She's stuffed with mulesing free merino wool and has a few embrodered details.

She was a custom order and is not available for purchase.

Meet Nessa!

She's a very cheerful little owl, the one to get the party started (and keep it going for as long as possible).
She's made of Oscha Matrix Ness and Oscha Hanna Vanilla which I think I forgot to mention on her name card 😳. Stuffed with organic kapok and wonderfully round and bouncy ❤️.

She's part of the giveaway to celebrate the new name and is a custom owl, and not available for purchase.

Meet Aimee, a lovely owl (I think I've found the sweet spot for general shape!) made with Oscha Okinami Amera scrap, together with Kasumi Felix.

Aimee is part of the Tenshi Treasures giveaway from last June. There were two winners and Aimee is the first, so there will be one more to follow soon!

Stuffed with organic kapok and finished with felt eyes, Aimee does have a tail ;) and she features the signature Okinami waves on the back.

Aimee is a giveaway and not available for purchase. If you're interested in your own custom owl, don't hesitate to contact me!

Theo was snuck in between the waiting line of custom orders to go with Viggo, the lovely fox you can find on this page too.

Theo is made with Oscha Rohan The Mark scrap, featuring lovely 'knotwork' and the Rohan shieldmark horses from Lord of the Rings. He is stuffed with merino wool and finished with felt eyes.

Theo is a custom order and not available for purchase.

SOLD - "Hello", the first little owlet to join the zoo.
I was being stubborn and decided to alter the pattern straight away, because it's been made for stretchy fabric and wrap scrap is not stretchy. Or well technically sometimes it can be, but Oscha Sekai Hilo (100% cotton) certainly isn't.

I like the way she looks, but she's ended up a bit too rotund in the end, wider than she is tall, which wasn't exactly what I was aiming for.

She also lacks a tail that I forgot to add, but she has my tag and is stuffed with lovely springy merino wool. Plastic safety eyes give her a lovely face and I'm quite sure there will be more to come!
