Teddy Bears

These bears are made with a Funky Friends Factory pattern. I’ve slightly adapted the pattern to better suit the wrap scraps I’m working with.

Size wise they are 38 centimeters high. They are standard filled with merino wool sourced from South German sheep (mulesing free!). They can have felt eyes or, on request, plastic safety eyes (not recommended for small children: small parts, potential choke hazard). I also have vegan options available!

If you’re interested in having your own custom wrap scrap teddy made, don’t hesitate to contact me. You can find more information about prices and scrap size needed on the Prices and sizes page.

I'm really happy with how Koda turned out!
After my first teddy tester where I had been a bit too stubborn to follow the (excellent!) instructions for the arms and legs, and the head shape not being to my liking, this one makes it all right. I love the round shape of his head (I had to edit the pattern for that) and the fact that he's way more huggable with properly attached arms and legs!

Koda is made with Coco-N Scandinavia Teddy Bear, a wonderful mix of chenille cotton, cotton, tussah silk and cashmere. Pretty thick fabric but so very suitable for a teddy bear ❤.
He's stuffed with mulesing free merino wool and he has bright plastic safety eyes and a felt nose.

Koda is going to travel to his new home in a bit but if you'd like your own teddy bear, let me know and I'll be happy to make you one.

Okay, I admit, I was being stubborn and not exactly following the (excellent) instructions. So the arms and legs on this tester teddy didn't quite turn out the way they're intended to be. When he is sitting it looks fine, but when held up the legs look like they're attached backwards 🙈.

Same for the arms, which are meant to be in an embrace like gesture, not surrendering like this 😅. I'm not entirely happy with the shape of the head either, which is due to the fact that wrap scrap does not stretch... I may try to alter the pattern a bit to achieve a rounder shape.

All in all little Orion here shows exactly why I always make a tester first when I'm doing a new pattern. If only to prevent more stubbornness later on! I'm loving the cotton/hemp of Oscha Starry Night Tonic, the colours are great fun to work with and I wish I had time to squeeze in an extra unicorn with Tonic!

I'm not sure if I will be putting him up for sale, but if you're interested, let me know.
