Blossom is a wrap scrap unicorn made with Oscha Blossom Elopement (wonderfully soft sea island cotton!). She is stuffed with mulesing free German merino wool and she has plastic safety eyes. Blossom Elopement is a blend of 49% Sea Island cotton, 31% wool, 10% cashmere and 10% tussah silk. This is one of Oscha’s signature blends and rightly so! It makes for a very soft, cuddly fabric to create very soft, cuddly stuffed animals with.
She was my first tester for this pattern by Rumpled Quilt Skins and I have made some adjustments since. Blossom was claimed by my daughter but she has relinquished Blossom now so she’s up for sale at a discounted price, both for being the first tester and for being ‘second hand’, although she’s in perfect state.
I have found a better way to attach the horn since I made Blossom. I believe the horn has been attached firmly, but I would not recommend carrying her around by the horn, to prevent it from getting detached.
Please note that plastic safety eyes, even though they’re called ‘safety eyes’, are not recommended for children under the age of 3, due to the small parts used.
Blossom is about 30cm high (to the tip of her horn), 30cm long and about 16cm wide (hoof to hoof).
